The founders of this club started it as an activity that would be very family friendly. Usually, we take new members by enrolling several members of a family at the same time. We try very hard to keep costs down so that it is something members of a family can do together. We also started it so that our daughters would know some essential self defense skills. Because of this focus, our club often has more girls than boys. One of the great things about FMA is girls can do it every bit as well as boys.
